1.1 What is Vbuzzer?
Vbuzzer is a all-in-one software for instant messaging, computer to phone calling, internet faxing, mobile SMS, virtual private networking, and web conferencing. Vbuzzer works on 2 major operating systems: Windows, MAC.

1.2 How do I create an account?
To create an account, first download Vbuzzer Messenger and install it on your computer. After installation is complete, the software will pop up a registration window. Just create your username, password, fill in your email address etc,. Once you have filled in the required information an account will be created.

1.3 I want to use part of the service, do I need to create an account?
Yes, you need to create an account even if you only use part of the Vbuzzer services.

1.4 Can I skip the email verification?
No, you can not skip the email verification. You must verify your email by clicking the link sent to it, otherwise your account will not be activated.

1.5 I can not log in to Vbuzzer Messenger, why?
1.5 I can not log in to Vbuzzer Messenger, why? One possible reason may be that your account is not set up yet because you failed to verify your email address. Click on the link that was sent to you by Vbuzzer and verify your email address to correct this issue. Another possible reason may be that you have a network problem. Simply open a new browser to see if you can connect to the internet. If not, check your settings to ensure that your computer is connected to an internet service provider.

1.6 How can I buy Vbuzzer credit?
The easiest way to purchase credit is by using a valid credit card and/or PayPal account. To do so, log in to your Vbuzzer account, choose the amount to purchase and submit your credit card (or PayPal) information. The system will instantly process your payment. If successful, your account will be loaded with the credit right away.

1.7 Is Vbuzzer online payment system secure?
All payments made to Vbuzzer are secure through use of 128 bit SSL encryption which is a widely used ecommerce system. It means the data transmission between your computer and Vbuzzer server are encrypted and not viewable by external sources. If necessary, we can upgrade to 256 bit SSL encryption right away for tighter security.

1.8 Can I use other methods to buy Vbuzzer credits?
Yes, you can also purchase credit using the following methods:

3) Make payment by selecting “Pay by Cash” inside Vbuzzer account.

1.9 I do not have a credit card, can I pay by cash?
Yes, you can pay cash by choosing the “Pay by Cash” option located within your account. You will be given multiple payment options, choose the one that suites you, for example, Western Union. You need to fill out the form, print it out, and take it to a local office in order to make the cash payment. We will receive it in a few business days and will credit your account accordingly. Please note: DO NOT mail cash to us.

1.10 How long does it takes for my payment to show up on my account?
If you pay by credit card or PayPal online, your payment will instantly show up. If you pay by eCheck, it takes 3-5 business days until the check is cleared. Payment via certified cheque takes several business days. Wire transfers generally take 2-3 business days.

1.11 Can local telecom/ISP block Vbuzzer service?
No, local telecom or ISP can not block Vbuzzer. At the time this notice was posted, there were no ISP's that had successfully blocked Vbuzzer.

1.12 Are communications on Vbuzzer safe and secure? Yes, all voice and text communications are encrypted with 128 bit SSL technology.

1.16 Are there any connection fee?
Yes we charge a small connection fee of $0.05 per call for pay as you go customers. There is no connection fee for the calling plan subscribers. There is no connection fee for fax service, SMS, and virtual private networking service.

1.17 Can I try Vbuzzer services for free before I buy credit?
Yes, you can access a free trial of most services offered by Vbuzzer before you buy any credit.
1) You can add someone to your buddy list and try the free computer to computer calling
2) You can call a US or Canada toll free phone number (1800 number)
3) You can send a fax within the US or Canada.
All these are free without any commitment to purchase.

1.18 What if I am not satisfied with the quality after I purchase Vbuzzer credit?
We do not offer refunds related to our services due to the intensive labor and high administrative costs involved. We encourage you to try our free trial services prior to making any purchase.

1.19 Is my credit going to expire if I do not use Vbuzzer frequently?
Yes, your credit will eventually be depleted if you do not use Vbuzzer frequently. For any account that is dormant for 120 days, an administrative fee of $2.50 per month will be charged effective on the 121st day. Prior to applying this administrative fee, we will send you email notification so that you may reactivate your account and use the balance to avoid the fee.

1.20 Can I use Vbuzzer when I’m traveling?
Yes, you can use Vbuzzer when you travel as long as you have a laptop and internet access. In fact, this is an excellent way to save money and stay connected with family and friends.

1.22 Can I make 911 a call with Vbuzzer?
You can make a 911 call if you are a paying Canadian user with a subscription to a Canadian phone number. Please note that VoIP 911 calling has limitations! Click here to view our 911 terms for a clear understanding.

1.23 Who is the company behind Vbuzzer?
Vbuzzer is a product of Softroute Corporation, a privately held Canadian company, incorporated in 2002 with the focus of developing internet based communication technologies for desktop and mobile computers.

1.24 Do I pay tax when I purchase Vbuzzer credit?
You need to pay tax if you are a Canadian user, you do not need to pay tax if you are not a Canadian user.

In addition, since we are operating under Canadian law, depending on your residency and/or your calling/faxing/SMS destinations, we may charge your consumption with Canadian HST.

Specifically, as a result of a tax review by Canada Revenue Agency in 2006, the following users and/or consumptions will be charged Canadian HST.

1) You are a Canadian resident, and/or
2) You are calling/faxing/SMS a Canadian phone number

Please note that we may update our tax practice from time to time as required by Canada Revenue Agency.

1.25 Is my credit card information being saved by Vbuzzer?
It depends on whether you choose to have your credit card information saved or not. If you chose yes, we will save it in your profile for your future use to purchase credits, otherwise we will not. Each time you make a payment, the system will prompt you to save your card information, deselect this option if you do not want your credit card information saved.

1.26 Why should I add a credit card to my account?
If you save a valid credit card in the system you will receive un-interrupted service. The system will automatically recharge your credit card and renew your services before its due date. We recommend our users select this option to avoid interruptions due to delay of payment.

1.27 How to add/remove a credit card from my account?
By default, the system will select to save your credit card information after you make your first credit purchase. Leave this option selected and your credit card information will be saved to your account file. To remove a card, log in to your account, go to “Billing”, click “Remove” under the primary credit card and/or secondary credit card.

1.28 Is my service automatically renewable?
Yes, the system will automatically renew your service if you have a valid credit card saved on file.

1.29 Can I pay for other users with my credit card?
Yes, you can use the same credit card to purchase Vbuzzer credit for more than one user.

1.30 Can I transfer credit from my account to another account?
Only the approved accounts can transfer credit, if you want this feature you need to write to us for approval.

1.31 Will my account become dormant if I do not use it for some time?
We view your account to be dormant if there is no activity within 120 days. In this event, we will send you a reminder notice. If you start using it, the account will be viewed as active again. Otherwise we will start charging $2.50 per month in administrative fees until the credit in the account has been depleted.

1.32 Can I cancel my account?
Yes you can cancel your account by sending a request in writing.
